Most of the Isle of Purbeck lies within an area of outstanding natural Beauty as well as being part of Englands only Natural World Heritage Site.

The South West Coast path on which we are situated forms part of the 95 mile Jurrasic coastline.

Whilst enjoying the coast do lookout the amazing bird life that and sealife that flock to our shores.

Spending a day by the beach is easy from Corfe, we have four amazing beaches within a four mile radius , plus a host of smaller bays for fishing, crabbing and rockpooling.

Nearby Lulworth Cove, Brownsea Island,Tyneham are all wonderfull for exxploring and gaining an insight into life here. Visit Swanage a wonderfull Victorian seaside resort or the ancient town of Wareham which offers a farmers market and a Saturday produce market.

Do take time to hop on the Swanage Steam Railway, its the best way to travel between Swanage and Corfe Castle.

Staying in Corfe, means you are actually in Enid Blyton country, as Corfe Castle was the inspiration for Blyton when writing the adventures of the famous five.

The village of Tyneham, was evacuated in 1943, and has been deserted since military training began their during the second world war.

It’s a great starting point for walks especially on the coast path. Monkey world and Bovington tank museum are just a few miles away and will keep the most fussiest of children occupied for hours.

Whatever you choose to do whilst on your Purbeck adveture, you can be sure of a brilliant experience. How can it not be, when 195 million years of history are condensed into 95 miles of coastline!!!
